The Kintyre Way, a walk spanning the length and breadth of Kintyre on the West Coast of Scotland runs from Tarbert, Loch Fyne with the historic castle and picturesque fishing village nestled around the welcoming harbour, through places such as Skipness with its also marvellous Castle, to Clachan with its old church, Tayinloan where you can visit Gigha by ferry, across to Carradale with the visitor centre and great view across to Arran, then down to Campbeltown famous for its history with whisky production, through Machrihanish with its world class golf course and then finally around the very Mull Of Kintyre to Southend/Dunaverty with a stunning golden beach.
The walk is approximately 90 miles from start to finish with a couple of other shorter walks that spur to other locations such as Peninver. Most of the walk will suit all kinds of walkers from novices through to skilled walkers, with the odd section that may be of higher difficulty for casual walkers.
The walk itself encapsulates all that Kintyre is with stunning outdoor locations, unmatched views, friendly and welcoming people and an idyllic stress free setting.
